The Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League is pleased to announce Jaxon Jacobson of the Brandon Wheat Kings as the CCM Hockey Player of the Week, for the week ending November 19. The 14 year old, Grade 10 forward put up 11 points in a stretch of 3 games in 3 nights. During this time, Jacobson found the net five times and added 6 assists. On Friday night against the Wild, he scored twice, including the game winner in OT, and added an assist. On Saturday he followed that up with another solid night on the game sheet by chipping in with two more goals and adding 3 assists against Eastman. Jacobson finished his weekend by adding a final goal and two assists against Interlake. His 11 point weekend moved him into second place in league scoring with 25 points after only 9 games. His effort has helped the Wheat Kings maintain 1st place overall in the league with 33 points.
Jaxon was selected 5th overall in the WHL draft this past summer by the Brandon Wheat Kings and most recently was the Captain of Team Manitoba who won gold at the WHL Cup in Red Deer, Alberta.
